Making Friends With Money

Dollars !

No, I don't me making friends with people who have money... I mean making friends with your money - literally. If you don't have a healthy relationship with money, you probably won't have much in your life. And, despite what you might think, just like you can do something about challenging relationships with people in your life, you can do something about changing your relationship with money.

I recently took a wonderful seminar with an amazing woman, who is both a money coach and a money therapist. Her name is Lora Sasiela, and if you want to check out her website, get some wonderful information for free and look into what she has to offer, you can visit her website at http://financiallysmitten.com.

It was a small and very intimate group for the program, but I think it would have worked well even on a larger scale. What was so wonderful about the program was the in-depth work we did in a very short period of time. The examples provided and the exercises that we did really helped me dig into the areas where I am still 'stuck' about money and where my challenges to allowing it into my life in the abundant manner that I deserve (that we all deserve) really exist. I discovered some very interesting things about my relationship to money and how it mimics certain aspects of other relationships in my life. It was fascinating, absolutely eye opening - I really felt like I had several, "Ah Ha," moments. And, even better, Lora provided us with several tools, as well as some simple suggestions, about how we can continue to work on our money relationship at home and continue to build on the progress that was started during the program.

I definitely recommend looking into her work. I found it deeply rewarding and very valuable. Without a doubt, I will be working with her again in the future.

New Namaste Ring - Sanskrit Only

Just wanted to make a quick announcement that there is a new style of Namaste Ring here at Transformational Jewelry. As with all of our other eco-friendly jewelry, this one is made using eco-friendly sterling silver (in other words a high content of recycled precious metal content - over 92%). This new namaste ring is slightly wider and just a touch thicker than the stackable namaste ring and has the word 'namaste' repeated around it four times in only sanskrit. The word 'namaste' is spaced evenly over the surface of the ring.

Currently this new namaste ring is only listed in the sterling silver rings collection, but it will soon be added to the gold rings. If you are interested in a gold one, please feel free to contact me. The new ring is part of the Namaste Jewelry Collection.

The muppets and Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody like no one else and a special Holiday Coupon Code

If you haven't seen this wonderful video yet, I want to share it with you. I'm of the age where the muppets where my childhood pals, to the point where Miss Piggy went with me every year to see the Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. I would stay up late the night before with my cousins and other family friends, and we'd do her hair and get her ready to go and see her boyfriend - the enormous Kermit the Frog ballon in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Thanksgiving was always my favorite holiday, we usually had about 30-40 people come, with cousins and family friends my age. It was a wonderful weekend, getting off from school early on Wednesday, cleaning my room for a few hours just so that it could explode with the fun and games we would make up to fill up the hours. On Thanksgiving morning we would get up really early and drive into the city to watch the parade from a high floor in my father's office building. After the parade we'd take off our shoes and play tag sliding around on the smooth polished floors, hiding among desks and just having a blast. Here are a few pictures from 1979!

Motivation at its best

Motivation When You Really Need It

This video deeply inspired me to consider the places in my life where I was 'knocking of early' and not really looking at what was in my way, looking for ways to change my perception and just getting started and doing it anyway. Inspiration is a funny thing, and I think the more we act on it, the more it will show up in our lives. However sometimes inspiration isn't quite what we're experiencing and there is something that just has to be done. When that is the case, we have two choices: we can post-pone the inevitable or we can get to it. If we decide to 'get to it' there are two ways we can approach that: we can muscle through or we can focus on the aspects we appreciate and allow that to help guide us to a place where we might even enjoy the thing we are avoiding. I recently tweeted that I think procrastination is the art of waiting for inspiration. It's true, but what about when it is not the best idea to wait? How do you reach for that inspiration, help to create it, when you are stuck? Here is one video that helped me focus and get a lot done in the days after I watched it. It will become a regular for me, that's for sure.

Risk and Life
Wednesday, 18 November 2009 19:48

“To love is to risk not being loved in return. To hope is to risk pain. To try is to risk failure, but risk must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.” - Unknown Author

This quote made me want to share a few thoughts - I couldn't agree more with this - and while risk is scary, it is also one of the absolute basics of a happy, interesting, exciting life. There are no mistakes. You can't get it wrong. So, why not take that chance? Why not put yourself out there in a way you wouldnt normally consider? You have nothing to loose, and everything to gain. What can you risk today?
