Law of Attraction on Thanksgiving
|

Thanksgiving is a day of family, friends, cherished traditions, great
food, football and lots of fun. It is also a day to remember to be
thankful for all of the wonderful blessings we have in our lives. Many
people who teach the Law of Attraction talk about how being thankful
for the things that we have in our lives helps us to attract more of
what we want.
How does that work, exactly?
My understanding is that is works by creating in you the emotional
experience you want to have. When we want to attract material items,
fulfilling relationships, satisfying careers we are actually seeking to
experience specific emotional states. We want to feel good - we want to
feel happy, satisfied, excited, passionate, love (and loved), joy,
appreciation and all the other emotions that are similar in nature. By
focusing, even for a short time, on the things in our lives that help
us to feel those emotions we are opening the door to anything we've
ever dreamed of that would also create those emotions.
So, today, right now, take a moment to focus on all of the amazing
blessings you have in your life. If your mind tries to convince you to
think about all the things you 'don't' have yet, re-focus yourself
gently, but firmly on something you really love and appreciate. Then
find something else - maybe it's getting to eat your favorite
Thanksgiving food, maybe it's some or all of the people that are
surrounding you, maybe it's that it's not raining (or that it is
raining - it all depends on your perspective)...any small thing that
can help you experience those moments of appreciation will bring you a
little bit closer to all those things you are looking for. That's the
Law of Attraction at work.
Happy Thanksgiving!!
